Dohrn is such a vicious - I can’t find any other word other than sociopath - that she was under the impression they had driven a fork into the pregnant belly of Sharon Tate and thought it was great.

Dorhn incited the assembled radicals to join the war against “Amerikkka” and create chaos and destruction in the “belly of the beast.” Her voice rising to a fevered pitch, Dohrn raised three fingers in a “fork salute” to mass murderer Charles Manson whom she proposed as a symbol to her troops. Referring to the helpless victims of the Manson Family as the “Tate Eight” (the most famous was actress Sharon Tate) Dohrn shouted:

Embarrassed today by this memory, but unable to expunge it from the record and unwilling to repudiate her terrorist deeds, Dorhn resorts to the lie direct. “It was a joke,” she told the sympathetic Times reporter, Dinitia Smith; she was actually protesting America’s crimes. “We were mocking violence in America. Even in my most inflamed moment I never supported a racist mass murderer.” In 1980, I taped interviews with thirty members of the Weather Underground who were present at the Flint War Council, including most of its leadership. Not one of them thought Dohrn was anything but deadly serious. Outrageous nihilism was the Weatherman political style. As soon as her tribute to Manson was completed, Dohrn was followed to the Flint platform by another Weather leader who ranted,
“We’re against everything that’s ‘good and decent’ in honky America. We will loot and burn and destroy. We are the incubation of your mothers’ nightmares.“
Once you’ve taken a moment to absorb that; take in the knowledge that they wrote their own modern version of the communist manifesto, dedicated to Sirhan Sirhan - and idolozing Che Guevara.

Unfortunately as Uri Bezmenov, the former KGB agent - said in this interview (above), they have a big reality shock in store for them when their socialist dream is realized. When they see what social justice means in practice…they will revolt. But until then, they will continue to be….useful idiots. And sadly, marxist regimes do not tolerate these people after the dream is realized; they’re lined up against walls and shot.
As stable hand said at the Jawa Report, it appears as though - journalists such as one Jeffrey Robb are ignorant of what “prairie fire” really means when they write puff pieces like this one and write in defense of Ayers:

My personal feeling is that these freakin’ journalists know perfectly well what it all means; they’re just not willing to reveal it to the public. Either way; if it’s through willful blindness to the facts - or plain ignorance - the result is the same.
William Ayers shows that same cowardice about admitting his true intentions when today he runs from people questioning his terrorist acts; he hasn’t repented and won’t repent; they full well intend to destroy America; and have dinner parties and other events where they openly discuss it.
That’s why Larry Grathwohl’s story in “No Place to Hide”- about infiltrating the Weather Underground for the FBI - and their discussions of how they had to re-educate millions of people - and kill about 25 million - is very chilling. Larry was present when they were discussing it; Ayers and Dohrn were so cluelessly proud of their America-hating they wrote a book about it called Prairie Fire.

It is unbelievable to me that people who cheered the “Manson Family”-who carried out the Tate/LaBianca murders are people who have jettisoned Obama through his stellar rise to power when only a few short years ago he was a completely unknown entity. At the time, and after reading Helter Skelter, I concluded these types of racist psychopaths were completely anti-social and thought they should be thrown in jail and their jailers should throw away the keys! I had no idea, of course, that they are occupying positions in our education system and have been in the process of indoctrinating our youth to accept and promulgate the same kind of atrocious behavior as those exhibited by Bernadine Dohrn and the Manson Family, with whom she placed and expressed some kind of sick adulation.
But it appears and is even reasonable to conclude-that this peculiar brand of psycho didn’t go away with the sentencing of the Manson family. It is influencing our President-Elect.

Obama camp: Lawsuits by citizens are ‘garbage’
Legal challenges spring up across U.S., demand proof of eligibility for office
More than a half-dozen legal challenges have been filed in federal and state courts demanding President-elect Barack Obama’s decertification from ballots or seeking to halt elector meetings, claiming he has failed to prove his U.S. citizenship status.
An Obama campaign spokeswoman told WND the complaints are unfounded.
“All I can tell you is that it is just pure garbage,” she said. “There have been several lawsuits, but they have been dismissed.”
That’s not really the case, as it turns out:
Ohio
David M. Neal of Turtlecreek Township, Ohio, filed suit in Warren Common Pleas Court in October to force Ohio Secretary of State Jennifer Brunner to request documents from the Federal Elections Commission, the Democratic National Committee, the Ohio Democratic Party and Obama to show the presidential candidate was born in Hawaii, the Cincinnati Enquirer reported.
Warren County Magistrate Andrew Hasselbach denied Neal’s request, saying, “The onus is upon one who challenges such public officer to demonstrate an abuse of discretion by admissible evidence – not hearsay, conclusory allegations or pure speculation.”
I wonder what was written in the lawsuit; because there certainly is enough information available to indicate that Obama has not been honest with the American people on his citizenship status; I think every citizen should have standing to challenge or ask for proof; since the DNC fell down on the job on this one.
Connecticut
Connecticut resident Cort Wrotnowski challenged the authenticity of Obama’s birth certificate on Oct. 31, and asked the court to order Secretary of State Susan Bysiewicz to verify Obama’s citizenship before allowing the candidate to appear on the state ballot. State Supreme Court Chief Justice Chase T. Rogers threw out the case for lack of jurisdiction within a half hour of reviewing it.
“I have not seen the ruling yet,” Wrotnowski told WND. “So, in reality, the case was not heard on its merits. … Currently, we are assembling information for another and better try.”
So there hasn’t been a ruling on this one…sounds to me as though Bernadine Dohrn’s lackies haven’t gotten to him yet.
Washington
As WND reported earlier, Steven Marquis of Fall City, Wash., filed suit Oct. 9 in Washington State Superior Court, calling for Secretary of State Sam Reed to determine whether Obama is a citizen before Election Day. Marquis released a statement saying the state has the authority to “prevent the wholesale disenfranchisement of voters” who might have otherwise had the opportunity to choose a qualified candidate should records show Obama is not a natural-born U.S. citizen.
Marquis said Obama’s Hawaii birth certificate isn’t evidence that the president-elect is a natural-born citizen because it doesn’t reveal the hospital where Obama was born, a doctor’s name or the baby’s footprint, the Associated Press reported.
Superior Court Judge John Erlick dismissed the lawsuit, claiming the secretary of state does not have authority to inquire about Obama’s birth certificate. He also said Marquis failed to name Obama as a party to the lawsuit.
Who within the state’s jurisdiction would have authority to inquire?
New Jersey
In Leo C. Donofrio v. Nina Mitchell Wells, Secretary of State of the State of New Jersey, retired attorney and New Jersey resident Leo. C. Donofrio asked the U.S. Supreme Court for an emergency stay on Nov. 3 prohibiting three candidates from appearing on New Jersey’s ballots: Republican candidate John McCain, Democratic candidate Barack Obama and Socialist Worker’s Party candidate Roger Calero.
Donofrio claimed the candidates are not “natural born citizens” as enumerated in Article 2, Section 1, of the Constitution of the United States, which states, “No person except a natural born citizen of the United States, at the time of adoption of this Constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President.”
He wrote, Obama is not eligible for the presidency “even if it were proved he was born in Hawaii, since … Senator Obama’s father was born in Kenya and therefore, having been born with split and competing loyalties, candidate Obama is not a ‘natural born citizen’ …”
“Republican candidate John McCain was born in Panama,” the request states. “Socialist Workers Party candidate Roger Calero was born in Nicaragua. And the birthplace of Democratic candidate Barack Obama has not been verified by Respondent.”
Donofrio said Panama has never been considered U.S. soil, and that McCain is merely a citizen at birth by statute, and not a “natural born citizen.”
With three ineligible presidential candidates on ballots, Donofrio warned, New Jersey voters will “witness firsthand the fraud their electoral process has become.”
Justice David Souter denied Donofrio’s application on Nov. 6. However, his case is still pending as an emergency stay application. Donofrio is resubmitting his request for an emergency stay of the national election results and Electoral College meeting to Justice Clarence Thomas.

Pennsylvania
As WND reported earlier, prominent Pennsylvania Democrat and attorney Philip J. Berg filed suit in U.S. District Court three months ago claiming Obama is not a natural-born U.S. citizen.
Berg claimed that by failing to respond Obama has legally “admitted” to the lawsuit’s accusations, including the charge that the Democratic candidate was born in Mombosa, Kenya.
U.S. District Judge R. Barclay Surrick dismissed Berg’s argument on Oct, 24, ruling that he lacked standing to bring the case. He said Berg’s allegations were “too vague and too attenuated.”
“This is a question of who has standing to uphold our Constitution,” Berg told Jeff Schreiber of America’s Right blog. “If I don’t have standing, if you don’t have standing, if your neighbor doesn’t have standing to question the eligibility of an individual to be president of the United States – the commander in chief, the most powerful person in the world – then who does?”
Berg filed a writ of certiorari in the U.S. Supreme Court on Oct.30, to force Obama to produce his birth certificate. Justice David Souter rejected an emergency appeal on Nov. 3, for the court to halt the tabulation of the 2008 presidential election results until Obama documented his eligibility to run for office. However, Souter set a schedule for a response from Obama, the DNC and all co-defendants on or before Dec. 1.
“I look forward to receiving Defendant Obama’s response to the Writ and am hopeful the U.S. Supreme Court will review Berg v. Obama,” Berg wrote in a Nov. 7 statement. “I believe Mr. Obama is not a consitutionally-qualified natural-born citizen and is ineligible to assume the office of the President of the United States.”
I think those of us who are aware of this are all interested in Obama’s response, but you can bet it’s full of legaleze and mumbo-jumbo.
Georgia
Rev. Tom Terry of Atlanta, Ga., appealed to the Georgia Supreme Court the day before the election to determine authenticity of Obama’s original birth certificate and his qualifications to be president.
“I bear no personal ill will against Barack Obama,” Terry, an independent, said in a statement. “In fact, his election solely on the basis as the first African-American president-elect is a very positive thing for our nation. However, as an American, I have very grave concerns about Mr. Obama’s possible divided loyalties since he has strenuously and vigorously fought every request and every legal effort to force him to release his original birth certificate for public review and scrutiny. I think that is significant.”
On Oct 24, Georgia Superior Court Judge Jerry W. Baxter denied Terry’s request for an injunction against Secretary of State Karen Handel.
“I don’t think you have standing to bring this suit,” he said. “I think that the attorney general has argued the law. I think he is correct. I think you are not a lawyer.”
Terry is appealing his suit even though Obama didn’t win Georgia because he said he wants to set an example for other states. He is asking the court to direct Georgia Secretary of State Karen Handel to decertify all votes for Obama.
“Hopefully, this action will be noticed by other states and they will also take a serious look at the meaning of Georgia’s Supreme Court’s actions,” he said. “It is apropos that the Latin motto in the Georgia Supreme Court is interpreted: ‘Let justice be done, though the heavens fall.’ I think if the Court rules in my favor, that motto will come alive with meaning and impact.”
Hawaii
On Oct. 17, Andy Martin filed a writ of mandamus in Hawaii’s Supreme Court to compel Gov. Linda Lingle to release a certified copy of Obama’s vital statistics record. His request to expedite the circuit court was denied on Oct. 22.
Martin now has a pending case seeking access to Obama’s original 1961 typewritten birth certificate. The circuit court hearing is set to begin Nov. 18.
The saga continues …
Several unconfirmed reports also indicate that citizens of Utah, Wyoming, Florida, New York, North Carolina, Texas, California and Virginia have also filed lawsuits or requested court orders to verify Obama’s citizenship status.

Barack’s grandmother says he was born in Kenya: “He is a son of this village”. API reports that they are getting a legal document to America; a statement from the descendant of the Imam that blessed him in Kenya when he was born.
Of course, the “truth sayers” of the media haven’t reported on ANY of this; because for all intents and purposes, MSNBC and others appear to be state-controlled media now.
The Obama camp dismisses the legitimate concerns of regular citizens as “garbage”; without answering them…this is what we’re going to be dealing with for the next 4 years - if he doesn’t declare martial law and suspend the constitution, like Hitler did.

The Imam who came forward to assist in the search of Barack Obama’s identity left Kenya secretly last night, and will arrive in the UK this morning. He will meet with a US contact person who will assist him in recording an asylum statement in the UK after handing over the documents that caused the blessing of Obama when he was born and to confirm the origin of the name Hussein.
The man will join relatives in the UK because his life will be in danger if he were to return to Kenya after removing the documents from the Mosque’s archives and taking them out of the country. The man has been informed about the on-going case filed in the US Supreme Court by attorney Philip Berg challenging Barack Obama’s citizenship.
When the man heard that Jerome Corsi was in Kenya a few months ago, he took a decision to try and meet him, but had to travel back to Mombasa from Nairobi on hearing that Corsi had been bundled and taken to the airport on deportation orders.
The Imam is the grandson of the late Imam who blessed Barack Obama when he was born in Mombasa on the 4th of august 1961.
While in the UK, the Imam and the American contact person will visit Amnesty International before handing himself over to the authorities where he will formally deliver his application for asylum. The contact man has arranged so that they get an official from Amnesty international to accompany them to the home office desk where he will inform them on he dangers that will face him if he were to return to Kenya after delivering the documents on Obama.
This may now bring to close the speculations on Obama’s citizenship and the secrecy on where he was born.

The money all goes into the same pot, to help those who have come home, far different than they left like, and could use some help getting ready to be medically reitred and head out to the job market.
Whether it’s an issue of sight, a lost limb, or plain molbility issues to type, be it temporary or permanent, these men or women are provided with a new laptop, that is their’s to keep.
I have spent some time with “Patient 0,” Maj Chuck Zeigenfuss, USA, and he’s quite a character, but forged this path for thousand of others 4 years ago (actually in excess of 2700 laptops have been delivered). He was a blogger and, while confined to his bed and many surigcal procedures, he wanted to keep blogging. VALOur-IT was born.

Yeah, it’s been proposed that a holiday be declared for President Elect Obama.
Plans are being made to promote a national holiday for Barack Obama, who will become the nation’s 44th president when he takes the oath of office Jan. 20.
“Yes We Can” planning rallies will be at 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. every Tuesday at the downtown McDonald’s restaurant, 1100 Kansas Ave., until Jan. 13. The goals are to secure a national holiday in Obama’s honor, to organize celebrations around his inauguration and to celebrate the 200th birthday of President Abraham Lincoln, who was born on Feb. 12 1809.
At 7:30 a.m. on Inauguration Day, Obama Cake will be served at the downtown McDonald’s, and a celebration is scheduled for 8 p.m. to midnight Jan. 20 at the Ramada Hotel and Convention Center, 420 S.E. 6th.

Obama to Reverse Over 200 Bush Actions and Executive Orders
According to the Washington Post, over 48 advisers have been working secretly “in virtual silence” to identify what regulations and policy changes will be targeted for an Obama change “soon after his inauguration.”
The Obama team is now working with “liberal advocacy groups” to prioritize the most “onerous or ideologically offensive.”
They are looking at “overtly political” regulations that were imposed to put forth a Republican agenda. The list of executive orders to be reversed is expected to get longer.
No mention was made of any bi-partisan efforts from the Obama team.

If he’s not a natural born citizen and they overturn Section I Article II, half the country will revolt because the SCOTUS ignored the constitution.
If he’s not a natural born citizen and they unseat him according to the constitution, half the country will revolt because the man they chose as President will be removed by the courts.

Why do you think the “hetrophobic” community has fought for years to be able to teach eleentary school children that two nuts and two bolts can hold things together (pardon my analogy, but it’s a concise one). And just think, getting that view of a social construct in place helps take the edge off the high school biology that teaches you how society continues to exist. Will those disciplines be banned, so as to not confuse the poor yutes with real scientific facts?

Getting Behind Obama
I have to chuckle a little typing the title to this article. The name “Obama” is still not recognized by any computer software spell-check program that I know of. I still have to right click on
the word and allow the spelling of it. Funny, my last name is recognized and McCain’s is too, but not Obama’s. Some might say that this is neither-here-nor-there. But are they sure?
In Obama’s acceptance speech, he spoke of having to still win over those who did not vote for him. And according to McCain, I am now to believe that Obama is a “good man”. And people all around are expecting me to “get behind Obama.”
While listening to Republicans (I am an Independent) turn on their party and curse the ground the party walks on, blaming the party for this, that and the other thing, I just marvel at the stupidity of the Democrats. I mean it is not every day that we get to see “Democracy” in action! But, while my keen eye is in clear focus of both parties’ unique consistencies, I cannot help but think about just what it would take to “get behind Obama.”
Just what would it take?
Lying would no longer be immoral, but rather just the subject of an old silly commandment in a radical book. When questioned about past events in my life, I would now be able to exercise my right to divert and deflect. Embracing a choice to end a life inside my womb would cause me to cheer; and walking side by side with men dressed as women would give me a sense of inclusion and oneness with the planet, right after I call for the firing of all coal workers, the silencing of born again Christians, and the imprisonment of all those who speak against Allah!
I would embrace ignorance and further the uneducated in their climb up the economic latter of success, blaming the rich for the fall of capitalism. Socialism would be my new buzz word, while I chant, “Yes we can! Yes we can!” As my friend Miss Angie said she is going to do, I would buy a new purse to fit in it, my share of Oprah’s money.
Learning to hate “Whitey” may take a little while, but I am sure such would come in time. I would hang with domestic terrorists, angry blacks and groups of poverty stricken people that would make me feel good about my life and myself.
I would embrace the philosophy that world peace can and must be achieved, and I would agree that all who would not play nice with everyone doing anything are the real enemies.
When my daughters have opportunity to use the fact that they are not white, heterosexual males in order to further their careers, I would tell them to jump on that!
Qualifications for the presidency would be superficial, as would be the need to be qualified. The Constitution would be nothing more to me than an artifact to be viewed in a Washington Museum. All evidence of America being a Christian nation would need to be destroyed, in my opinion. I would call for the freedom to desecrate the United States flag, for “gays” to marry and for the freedom to kill myself when I am old. I would vote to enact hate speech laws and to re-enact the fairness doctrine.
I would embrace Islamics and homosexuals, while slamming Evangelicals and traditional values. I would view illegal immigration as just a way for foreigners to get their share of Oprah’s money, and I would see those that oppose of such as stingy and in need of compassion.
War would be nothing more to me than the Republican Party trying to rule the world for Jesus and using Oprah’s money to do so. However, I would see a future invasion of Pakistan and the need for more troops in Afghanistan as different.
I would have no part of any other schooling, besides that of public schools. I would believe that all parents should answer to the state and that schools should have the right to teach social morals to all children, morals that embrace the fullness of the world around us.
It would be my opinion that unions run the businesses and laws should dictate whom employers have to hire and cannot fire.
The answer to the national debt would be simple to me; the government should make the rich pay more in taxes and the treasury can just print more money.
The Bible Scripture that asks the question, “For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?” would no longer mean the concern of a soul going to hell, but rather the seriousness of one losing a part of one’s self, part of one’s own soul, as The Divine Miss Oprah felt would happen to her if Obama did not win this election.
I would ask the question; “What’s so wrong with Socialism, Sharia Law and alternative life-styles?”
And when Obama gets sworn in, I would wear the red and black colors of the warrior shield on the Kenyan flag; and I would envision a light coming down from heaven and a voice saying to me, “This is my son, of whom I am well pleased.” And then, I would wave my American flag and say, “God bless America!”

President Bush has been demonised for eight years.
Whats left of his reputation has been wrecked by the Press and worse, he has been stalked by a psychotic Cindy Sheehan with the gleeful help of the Left.
You remember her?The sick twisted “Peace Mom”?You don’t mention her any more, do you..whats the matter…I guess she served your purpose well, didnt she?
Had you lot supported him instead of trying to undermine him, the outcome may have been very, very different. And it could have started with you lot not screaming at the top of your voices that he lied, when he did not, and you lot fucking well knew it.
I’ll tell you this,..in this country, Sheehan would be in prison for being a fucking psychotic stalker. How many death threats? How many vicious lampoons and attacks and assassinations of his character?
How many times have you lot called him a fool and worse and never stopped to realise that YOU were the problem, and not him????
If tomorrow, the US Army uncovered a massive haul of WMD, bacterial weapons, missiles….guess what the VERY FIRST WORDS out of the mouths of people like you would be??

What the Left have done over the last eight years with your willing and enthusiastic collaboration will come back to haunt you, your screeching and psychotic assaults on the man and the office of the Presidency have served to denigrate the good name of the United States abroad, and if the US is hated and reviled, you lot helped it get there.
NONE of you stepped forward and told Chavez where to get off, none of you stepped forward and told Sheehan to lay off, none of you ever to this day have condemned a film that dealt with assassination and used the face of a sitting President.
None of you would ever DARED have allowed that film into the US if they had used Barack’s face.

I swear to God that you will regret it one day..you have opened a door into something you will wish you had not, and set a precedent that is as sick, as it is deadly.
You and the Left and the histrionic, screeching demented moonbats have done more to destroy his name, and to throw the office of the Presidency into the mud than anyone else…the enemies of the US have had a field day with your willing and enthusiastic help.
Over the last eight years, you and your ilk have aided, abetted and with malice aforethought been the willing and useful idiots of the kind of people that glory in the deaths of US soldiers and would exult in the humiliation of the US both at home and abroad.
We have won in Iraq...we have done more than we ever dreamed possible..and then only because President Bush stood firm and refused to cave in to the shrieks of defeatists who wanted another Vietnam style debacle.
And you hated him for it. You salivated and drooled at the prospect of bloodshed on a massive scale.
You disgust me.
Where are the paens to the troops? To their courage? Where is the WH Press Corps and their thanks to President Bush for staying the course and winning a massive victory over the US’s enemies??
Where is all that press coverage in Iraq gone, why the deafening silence?…is it because the long hoped for and dreamed of defeat of the USA, so fervently wished for by such stellar personalities as John “Winter Soldier” Kerry and “Hanoi Jane” Fonda failed to materialise?
The press would never act against the best interests of the US…would they??..what am i saying..of course they would. And did. And still do.
Al Qaeda has been smashed. Their soldiers, dead, their commanders dead or captured, their hopes for an Islamic superstate gone forever.
And the sickest part is that none of you, not one, would ever have the guts to say any of it to his face. Even with the man in your presence, none of you would ever dare call him liar, or “Shrubya” or a hundred other vicious epithets.
You have proven without question, neither you, nor any of your ilk can ever be trusted..and your deliberate failure to subject Obama to the same kind of scrutiny that McCain and Palin came under is proof positive that the media does no longer report the news..it creates it..and does not care how many lies are fed to the public in the process.
Eight miserable years of you hating your own country, and a man who never deserved a hundredth of the vile abuse you have heaped upon him.

President-elect Obama,It seems congratulations are in order to you and to the Democrat party on your successful bids for the American presidency and both houses of Congress. I congratulate, also, those Americans who put the proper time, effort, and thought into their choice of elected officials.
Also, I must profess appreciation for the wisdom inherent in the following words uttered at your acceptance speech on that historic Tuesday evening in Chicago, “And to those Americans whose support I have yet to earn, I may not have won your vote tonight, but I hear your voices. I need your help. And I will be your president, too.”
I, sir, am one of those voices. As are more than 50 million of our fellow Americans. You campaigned as a “Great Unifier”, soon will come the time to make good on that promise. Undoubtably, it will be no easy task to join red and blue, capitalist and socialist, Conservative and Progressive. With this in mind, I have put together a short list of suggestions aimed at helping you traverse the obstacles that will surely impede your progress along this arduous, near impossible path.
Sir, despite your belief that many of your fellow citizens cling to guns simply out of some mental or psychological weakness, the truth is that many of us have a deep seated faith in the Second Amendment for a much deeper, fundamental, and yes even American reason. There are those who innately understand that a government that takes away the ability of its people to protect themselves from that self same body is no longer an government by and of the people, but rather a government that in fact rules its people. The NRA alone has more than four million members. You, sir, will be their president, too.
Sir, it may be your view that those who oppose your tax programs must be selfish, unfair, or simply unpatriotic; but let me assure you this is, in fact, not the case. You must at least attempt to entertain the thought that there may be no small number of Americans who may simply disagree with the idea of taxation as a mechanism for social change. A group with a different view of the government’s role in the pilfering of monies. Who understand that taxation and freedom exist in opposition, and that the more there is of one, the less there will be of the other. Our founding fathers understood this. They fought a revolution for this very idea. Millions of Americans still hold those old fashioned beliefs. You, sir, will be their president, too.
Sir, I ought not show such hubris as to question your belief in the sanctity of the First Amendment, but there have been some rather ominous signs during your campaign of an inclination toward intimidation and the silencing of your critics. Your monk-like silence while your followers viciously attacked the personal lives of those who would question or disagree with your views lends to the belief that you condone such behavior. The smear campaigns against Joe the Plumber, Stanley Kurtz, and Sara Palin come to mind. Both sides need understand that the First Amendment does not absolve one from disagreement or from opposing arguments. But it most definitely should protect a citizen from personal attacks, unlawful government intrusions, and any and all types of intimidation. Most all Americans believe deeply in their First Amendment right of freedom of speech. Unfortunately, fewer believe that right includes the free speech of others as well. You, sir, will be their president, too.
Sir, it may just be that the notion ‘no matter what the question, government is the answer’ has been encoded into your personal DNA, but this is not the belief of a large section of the American public. In fact, many believe they succeed in spite of the government, not because of it. As a scholar interested in our shared history, you surely must know that the Federal government today is larger than it has ever been at any time in our history. Yet somehow our ancestors, with that very same smaller government, endured and even prospered for nearly two and a half centuries. The fact is many believe this was not merely a coincidence. You, sir, will be their president, too.
Sir, I will give you the benefit of the doubt that your stance on Global Warming comes from an honorable place, that you are in fact more interested in protecting our shared planet than accumulating even more governmental power. But do your stated policies even stand up to scrutiny? Many believe they do not. According to Jacob Sullum at Townhall.com, you plan to “”implement an economy-wide cap-and-trade program to reduce greenhouse gas emissions 80 percent by 2050.” That is even more ambitious than the goal of a cap-and-trade bill that the Department of Energy estimates would cost between $444 billion and $1.3 trillion in reduced economic growth over two decades.” The Cato Institute’s Policy Analysis “The Consequences Of Kyoto” posits that even with a worldwide adherence to Kyoto protocols, “The amount of warming “saved” by the emissions reduction…is infinitesimal: 0.19 degrees C.” Let’s face it, not even a polar bear could feel that variation. Again that 0.19 degrees, sir, is with a worldwide adherence. Your program simply deals with America alone. Let’s do the math, over a billion dollar hit to the U.S. economy on the one side, the mere possibility of a fraction of a degree temperature change on the other. There are still a few Americans left with the facility of critical thought. You, sir, will be their president, too.
In closing, sir, I “hope” that you truly are a “change” from what we who may disagree with you have come to expect from the Liberal establishment. I hope that you will, as you have said, hear our voices and be open to our help. As hard as it may be for you to fathom, we ‘loyal opposition’ still have America’s best interests at heart. It is important, if you wish to be true to the moniker of “Uniter”, that you do not simply dismiss us. For you, sir, are our president, too.
